Drink a glass of water
Our bodies are incredibly dehydrated in the morning. It’s been 8 hours since drinking anything!
So, do your body a favour and start the day off by downing a glass of water.
It’s an easy way to be on the right path to drink enough throughout the day, and you’ll wake up with so much more energy to accomplish other tasks.
Focus on what matters
Live by design, not by default.
This could be writing your goals down for the day, choosing your top three priorities, or visualizing what you want to happen.
If we don’t have a plan for ourselves, we will NEVER get to where we want to be!
Just because you are busy doesn’t mean you’re doing anything that moves you forward. Often, we get caught up in the servant.
So, make sure you’re working towards what matters to YOU. This is the most crucial of all the things to do in the morning!
Move your body
This could be an actual workout, or it could be doing five pushups or a light stretch. The point is to wake your body up and get your blood flowing first thing in the morning.
Even if the rest of the day turns out to be awful, and you don’t get a real workout in, you’ll know that you did something to move your body.
Make your bed
I was so sceptical of this one. Like, I used to enjoy keeping my bed unmade perversely. But then I read so much about the benefits of starting the day with this tiny action.
It miraculously makes your personal space more organized, but it gets your momentum going in the morning by accomplishing something right away.
As a result, it puts you in the right mindset to tackle other tasks. It took a while, but now I’m a believer.
Eat healthy breakfast
This one is so essential to conquer the day.
What you eat first thing in the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day! So make it something that does your body good.
Try oatmeal with fruit, eggs and veggies, or simple green smoothies.
If you stray later, at least you know that you ate well in the morning.
Read something in the morning.
Take an extra 10 minutes and read something that will help you grow as a person.
Moreover, if you have a personal, professional, or family goal
the setting, use the time to research!
Sit in silence
Silence is golden. We all need to re-charge our batteries and slow ourselves down.
So, utilize a few minutes before others wake up to breathe, pray, meditate, or drink coffee and enjoy the heavenly quiet.
