Tanzania is rapidly expanding its natural gas exports to Uganda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Zambia through an integrated network of pipelines, LNG terminals, and Mini LNG systems. This strategic growth solidifies Tanzania’s position as a key energy supplier in East and Southern Africa.
Under President Samia Suluhu’s leadership, Tanzania is emerging as a regional leader, not only in energy but also in agriculture. The country is investing in mini LNG plants and forging partnerships with companies such as Rosetta and KS Energy. These collaborations are boosting the production of natural gas, as well as urea fertilizer, which is vital for agricultural development.
This comprehensive approach marks Tanzania’s rise as a powerhouse in both energy and agricultural sectors, driving sustainable growth and regional cooperation.
