The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Philip Mpango, has today departed the country for Brazil to represent President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the second Brazil-Africa Summit on Food Security, the Fight Against Hunger, and Rural Development.
The high-level summit will be held in Brasília from May 20 to 23, 2025, bringing together Heads of State and Government, African Ministers of Agriculture, international organizations, the World Bank, and a wide range of experts.
Vice President Mpango is also expected to participate in several bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation between Tanzania, participating nations, and development organizations.
The summit provides a platform for discussing collaborative strategies to enhance food systems, eradicate hunger, and promote sustainable rural development across Africa, with Brazil sharing its experience and innovations in agriculture and social programs.
