Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has been awarded a special honour by the national Parliament in recognition of her leadership and contribution to the country’s development.
The award was presented by Speaker of Parliament and Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) President, Dr Tulia Ackson, during a ceremony held at the Parliament grounds in Dodoma.
Dr Ackson praised President Samia for her “visionary and competent leadership,” describing her as a model of national service whose efforts have significantly improved lives across various sectors.
In her acceptance speech, President Samia expressed gratitude, attributing the achievements to collective national effort. She reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive development for all Tanzanians.
The event was attended by government officials, MPs, and invited guests.
