Motorists in Tanzania will see a slight drop in fuel prices this month, following new cap prices announced by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA), effective July 1, 2025.
The revision aligns with the newly implemented finance act. In Dar es Salaam, petrol now sells for Sh2,877 per litre (down from Sh2,885), diesel at Sh2,767 (from Sh2,826), and kerosene at Sh2,629 (from Sh2,877).
At Tanga Port, petrol prices have fallen to Sh2,938, diesel to Sh2,828, and kerosene to Sh2,690. Mtwara Port still records the highest rates: petrol at Sh2,969, diesel at Sh2,859, and kerosene at Sh2,722.
EWURA attributed the changes to fluctuations in global oil prices.
