Honorary President of Simba SC, Mohammed “Mo” Dewji, has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the club into one of Africa’s best. Speaking via video from Dar es Salaam, Mo said he has invested over TSh 87 billion in Simba since 2017.
Despite last season’s challenges, he highlighted the club’s historic achievements, including two CAF finals appearances — a first for any Tanzanian team. He stressed that Simba is still in a building phase and that next season’s focus will be on strategic signings and strengthening the technical bench.
Mo also clarified that, aside from operational and salary costs, he has personally contributed over TSh 22 billion in emergency funding, dismissing claims that he has withdrawn financial support as false and malicious.
He urged fans and members to focus on unity and cooperation, stating: “I’ve invested my time, energy, and money in Simba out of pure love for the club and our country. My vision remains unchanged.”
