Abdul Halim Hafidh Ameir is a Tanzanian businessman and philanthropist, and son of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan.
Mr. Ameir’s business interests span from energy, food processing, agriculture, spare parts and retail.
With over 20 years of experience in business enterprise, he is also a Databases Engineer highly skilled in computer systems, databases and networks. Prior to engaging himself as a full time businessman, he worked for the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar as a Systems Administrator.
Mr. Ameir spends most of his time in his native Zanzibar. He maintains a low profile and most of the news about him have been from unverified sources and unsubstantiated claims, mostly from his critics and those of President Suluhu. Colleagues at work and business describe him as introvert, perceptive, knowledgeable, pious and altruistic.
