Kilimanjaro Police Dismiss Alleged Threat Against Activist Godlisten Malisa’s Mother Kilimanjaro Regional Police have denied claims that activist Godlisten Malisa’s mother was placed under protective surveillance. Police said officers visited her home in Old Moshi Kidia to investigate reports of armed intruders late at night.
Regional Police Commander Simon Maigwa explained that the inquiry included statements from village and sub-village leaders, who reported seeing no suspicious vehicles or individuals. The mother had told police that on November 22, 2025, she noticed vehicles passing by her home and grew concerned, prompting her report.
The investigation confirmed her house is near the main road in Old Moshi Kidia, where frequent traffic is normal. Witnesses did not verify the presence of armed individuals or masked persons as initially claimed.
