Zanzibar’s First Vice President and national chairperson of ACT-Wazalendo, Othman Masoud, has said the party will not boycott the upcoming general election but will fully participate to push for the change Tanzanians seek.
Speaking during a visit to Shinyanga on Sunday, Masoud emphasized the importance of proper preparation as the election approaches, saying the party aims to strengthen democracy through active involvement.
“We want real change — and that won’t come by staying out of the electoral process. We must participate because elections are the battlefield. It’s our duty to tell citizens the truth about the electoral system and how change is possible,” he said.
Several party members who attended the rally welcomed the announcement and pledged full participation in the upcoming election, while also promising to mobilize more citizens to join ACT-Wazalendo.
