As the Maasai evacuation from Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) continues under the government’s assistance to Msomera village in the Handeni District of the Tanga region, the government wants to ensure that the Maasai community gets all the needed services while living on their new residents.
Under the government’s directives, Airel, the leading telecom company, camped at Msomera village to install a temporary telecommunication tower to ensure the arriving Maasai community accesses mobile communication services without any obstacles.
Apart from other essential social services such as hospitals, houses and schools the government had placed in the area before the Maasai’s arrival, the communication service will not be a problem for the newly arriving community.
