Cable News Network (CNN) primetime anchor Chris Cuomo was suspended indefinitely after CNN learned of his deep involvement in a sexual allegation case facing his brother, former New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo was intimately involved in crafting his brother’s defense according to documents released on Monday.
“The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense,” said CNN spokesperson.
His brother Andrew is accused of sexually harassing about 11 women and during this time Cuomo was working closely with his brother’s top aide Melissa DeRosa to save him from the mess.
Mass took it to Twitter demanding CNN to stand up and work on this issue as Cuomo was against the journalism ethics by not separating his personal life from professionals including Charlotte Bennett, a former aide to Andrew who has also accused him of sexual harassment.
“Anything short of firing Chris Cuomo reflects a network lacking both morals and a backbone,” Bennett tweeted.
Cuomo’s night program is CNN’s most-watched hour of the day.
