Dodoma Ring Road Nears Completion as Government Plans More Infrastructure Upgrades

Construction of the Dodoma Outer Ring Road, commonly known as the Ring Road, has reached over 85% completion, according to the Ministry of Works.

Minister of Works, Abdallah Ulega, received the update during an inspection tour of the 112.3 km strategic road project. He expressed satisfaction with the progress and emphasized the government’s goal, under President Samia Suluhu Hassan, to have the project 90% complete by June.

Ulega highlighted that the road will enhance the city’s appearance, especially at night, as it will be fully lit with streetlights.

He also announced further infrastructure plans, including a four- to six-lane highway from Chamwino State House to the city center, currently in the final stages of contractor procurement. Additionally, a modern interchange is planned for Ihumwa to ease traffic flow into and out of the Magufuli Government City.
