Renowned Bongo Fleva artist Ibraah, born Ibrahim Abdallah, has officially parted ways with Konde Gang Music Worldwide, marking the beginning of his career as an independent artist. This decision was confirmed today following a formal agreement reached between both parties in the presence of the National Arts Council of Tanzania (BASATA).
The agreement, signed in front of BASATA’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Kedmon Mapana, brought an end to a two-week dispute. Ibraah was accompanied by his business advisor, Mr. Msigwa, while Konde Gang was represented by their legal counsel, Ms. Sandra.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ibraah has been released without any conditions, granting him the full freedom to continue his music career independently. This move opens a new chapter for the talented singer-songwriter, known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics.
“I leave Konde Gang with nothing but respect and gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished together. Now, it’s time for me to stand on my own and take the next step in my musical journey,” Ibraah said after the meeting.
The conflict between Ibraah and the label had lasted for about two weeks, but both parties agreed to resolve the matter amicably, prioritizing the interests of the music and arts industry in Tanzania.
Konde Gang, founded by artist Harmonize, has been a powerhouse in nurturing young talents in the Bongo Fleva scene. Ibraah’s departure is a major development that’s being closely watched by industry stakeholders.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting new music from Ibraah, excited to see what he will create with newfound artistic freedom.
