The former Tanzanian Ambassador to Canada, Dr Wilbrod Slaa, has shocked the crowd by saying he ditched party politics since September 1, 2015, when he withdrew or resigned from CHADEMA when serving as party’s secretary.

Dr Slaa made those remarks today in Mwanza at St. Augustine University on a symposium about the late Magufuli’s political philosophy.

“Despite not being a member of any political party, I will always provide my advice, particularly on essential state matters,” – Slaa said

Contributing to the symposium, Dr Slaa said he will never forget Dr Magufuli, particularly for banning foreign trips to limit government expenses. Also, Magufuli had shown the world that Tanzania could be independent for effectively utilizing her resources and other sources of income.
