Juja MP George Koimburi has been found alive after reportedly being abducted on Sunday outside a church in Mugutha, Kiambu County. He was discovered in a coffee plantation in Kiambu and is currently receiving treatment at Plainsview Hospital near Ruiru town.

His wife, Ann Koimburi, sustained injuries during the abduction, which was captured on video showing the MP being forced into a silver Subaru Forester with civilian plates.

The incident has intensified growing concerns about the safety of political leaders in Kenya, following a spate of abductions and killings, especially in high-risk and underserved regions.
