It is said that as long as you are alive you are a student of life. You will always learn something completely new now and then and the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know.

Some of these things are shocking and others will entice you to want to know more about things you don’t know about. To start;

Coca-Cola was a drug invented to treat pain caused by wounds.
A pharmacist, John Pemberton, invented it during the American Civil War as Pemberton wanted to create a drug that did not use opium to treat pain.

In the process, Cocacola contained alcohol and cocaine which were later on eliminated from the drinks in the 1930s

Humans are the only animals whose brains shrink.
The human brain has decreased in size in modern homosapiens according to researchers. Some of the reasons have been linked to climate change, diet, food availability, and predation.
With age, brains tend to shrink, even more, posing a threat of getting cognitive dysfunction like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Research also shows that humans are the only animals to whom this shrinkage happens.

Dogs can smell cancer
A dog has been referred to as “the “man’s best and loyal friend” and the animal is said to know it when its bestie is having the chronic illness of cancer. Researchers have found that dogs can pick up on a specific scent that cancer produces in a person’s body but are undetectable to humans.


Newborns Don’t Shed Tears
During the first few months of their lives, newborn babies’ tear ducts are not fully developed, making it impossible to shed tears until they are crying.
