President Samia Suluhu Hassan has urged Tanzanians not to misuse the 4R philosophy—Reconciliation, Reform, Resilience, and Rebuilding—as a justification for breaking the law or creating conditions that threaten the peace, security, and stability of the nation.
She emphasized that the implementation of this philosophy must go hand in hand with adherence to the Constitution and the laws of the country.
The President made these remarks last night during her national address marking the 61st anniversary of the Union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar.
“The implementation of the 4R philosophy must align with the observance of the Constitution and national laws. Under no circumstances should this philosophy be used as a pretext for breaking the law or fostering conditions that endanger the peace, security, and stability of our nation,” she stated.
Furthermore, President Samia highlighted that through the 4R philosophy, Tanzania’s democracy has been strengthened. She stressed that this approach should serve as an essential tool for enhancing citizen engagement and participation.
