President Samia Suluhu Hassan has dissolved the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA)’s Board of Directors.
The TCRA board, previously chaired by Engineer Othman Sharif Khatib, was officially dissolved on November 7th, 2023.
The statement issued by the Directorate of Presidential Communications early Tuesday states the President appointed Ambassador James Bwana to represent Tanzania in South Africa.
He takes over from Ambassador Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Gaudence Milanzi who has retired.
The statement adds that Ambassador Said Massoro Hussein has been appointed to represent Tanzania in Kuwait, replacing Said Shaib Mussa who was appointed Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation in the latest mini-cabinet reshuffle.
President Samia named Mr Kaimu Mkeyenge as the new Director General of National Insurance Corporation (NIC) to fill Dr Elirehema Doriye’s void.
According to the statement, the latter will be assigned to other duties.
Prior to the appointment, Mr Mkeyenge was Director General of Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC).
