Tanzanian President and Chairperson of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party, Samia Suluhu Hassan, has affirmed that the new CCM headquarters will stand as a lasting symbol of the party’s strength and influence, both nationally and across Africa.
Speaking on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Dodoma after laying the foundation stone for the new facility, President Samia emphasized that the project goes beyond administrative needs. She described it as a reflection of CCM’s enduring leadership in Tanzania and its prominence as a respected political force across the African continent.
“I believe that once this building is completed, it will not only be used for administrative purposes but also stand as another permanent symbol of the unity, strength, and identity of Chama Cha Mapinduzi,” said President Samia. “We will have a modern facility that reflects not just the magnitude of our party, but also its stature as a major political force in Africa, especially south of the Sahara.”
She further noted that the initiative fulfills CCM’s long-held vision of establishing a headquarters that honors the party’s historic legacy and its contributions to national development.
