President Samia Pushes for Tech-Driven Reforms in CCM Manifesto

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who also chairs the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has proposed a series of minor amendments to the party’s Election Manifesto, including a key change to permit virtual party meetings.

Speaking at a Special CCM Meeting held yesterday in Dodoma, President Samia said the revisions are intended to modernize the party’s operations by embracing technological advancements.

“These changes may be minor, but they are significant,” she emphasized. “Enabling meetings to be conducted online will not only cut costs but also boost operational efficiency, all without compromising the party’s ability to make decisions.”
