President Samia Suluhu Hassan has called on citizens to safeguard Tanzania’s reputation as a peaceful and politically stable nation, saying these values are essential for continued development.
Speaking on June 20, 2025, at the inauguration of the Butimba Water Project in Mwanza Region, President Samia warned that division could hinder progress and benefit those who seek instability.

“Tanzania is peaceful—let us keep it that way,” she urged. “Without political stability, development is impossible.”
She emphasized unity and solidarity as key to sustaining social and economic growth, noting that the country has made significant development strides thanks to strong political will.
Her call comes amid ongoing strategic projects nationwide, with a focus on ensuring all Tanzanians benefit—regardless of political background.
