Russia opens borders for Tanzanian students in Ukraine

Through diplomatic channels, the Tanzanian embassies in Sweden and Russia have reached an agreement with Russia to allow Tanzanian students at Sumy State University to return to Tanzania via the Russian border.

The process of deporting the students from Ukraine to the Russian border will be coordinated by the Russian government and then handed over to the Tanzanian embassy in Russia for repatriation procedures.

The government is asking students and parents to be patient during this difficult time.
