Ruto: Enough is enough, we will crush lawlessness

President William Ruto has issued a strong warning to those behind recent unrest and destruction of property, vowing to use all available means to ensure peace and stability in the country.

Speaking during a tour of the Police Housing Project in Kilimani, Nairobi, the President condemned what he termed as attempts to destabilize his government through unconstitutional means.

“I have been quiet and tolerated those trying to change the government unlawfully, but enough is enough,” said President Ruto. “You can call me whatever names you want, but I will ensure there is peace and stability in Kenya by all means possible.”

The President questioned why he is facing such intense opposition compared to his predecessors, saying:
“Moi, Kibaki, and Uhuru Kenyatta were all presidents before me. So what’s all the fuss about? Why are all these problems being brought to me? Why didn’t Kibaki and Uhuru get this kind of treatment? Let’s end all the contempt and tribalism.”

Ruto also issued a stern warning to political leaders allegedly funding chaos and violence, especially targeting businesses.
“We are coming after the leaders of the goons destroying people’s businesses. You cannot sponsor violence in the Republic of Kenya and expect to go scot-free,” he said.

The President’s remarks come amid rising political tensions and protests in various parts of the country.
