Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park has once again for the 3rd time in a row since 2019 won the ‘Leading National Park in Africa’ title in World Travel Awards (WTA) 2021.
Serengeti is popularly known for the great migration, it is a home for millions of wildlife including the Big 5.
In this year’s awards WTA also awarded Tanzania as Africa’s Leading Destination, Zanzibar as Africa’s Leading Beach Destination, Thanda Island as Africa’s Leading Luxury Island, Chapwani Private Island as Africa’s Leading Private Island Resort.
Hotels that won the WTA are; Hotel Verde Zanzibar – Azam Luxury Resort and Spa as Africa’s Leading Green Hotel and Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti as Africa’s Leading Luxury Safari Lodge
“Tanzania – with its national parks, wildlife and palm-fringed beaches – was voted ‘Africa’s Leading Destination’” wrote WTA.
Serengeti won against five other nominees for the category including; Kruger National Park in South Africa, Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, Kidepo Valley National Park in Uganda, Etosha National Park in Namibia and Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana.
