Special Seats MP Nusrat Hanje Quits CHADEMA, Joins CCM

Special Seats Member of Parliament representing the youth group from Singida Region, Nusrat Hanje, has officially announced her defection from CHADEMA to Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).

Hanje made the announcement on May 18 during a public rally held at the Old Bus Stand grounds in Ikungi town, stating that after serving in Parliament for five years under CHADEMA, she now feels politically mature and ready to take on new challenges outside the opposition party.

She emphasized that the decision to join CCM was entirely voluntary and came after being impressed by the major development initiatives led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, particularly those benefiting the people of Singida.

During the rally, Hanje urged Ikungi residents to support her move, assuring them that their local challenges and grievances can now be addressed through constructive engagement within the ruling party, without the need for conflict or unrest.
