In the bid to revive Tanzania’s national air carrier, the government has already purchased another five new planes.
While reading his budget speech in the parliament in Dodoma, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, today, April 6, 2022, has said that, until February 2022, the government has already paid an advance for the purchase of five new planes.
The Prime Minister mentioned models of the planes to be one Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, two Boeing 737-9, one De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 and one for cargo Boeing 767-300F.
Majaliwa said the government is keen to deliver good aviation service to its clients within and outside the country. With the arrival of the new five planes, Tanzania will have 16 new aircraft.
