The  mining sector growth chart line is on ascendance with the industry worth of revenues each year, according to the latest records.

Minister for Minerals, Dotto Biteko, reveals that the mining sector is currently leading in foreign currency generation while its contribution to the country’s GDP has also been upped from 7% to nearly 8%.

Hon Biteko made that revelation at an occasion at Mirerani in Arusha when the government was purchasing two giant Tanzanite gemstone discovered by artisan miner Mr Anselm Kawishe. The state bough the two Tanzanite stone findings at 2.24bn/- on spot.
