In the coming academic year, the government has allocated a total of Tsh 573/- billion set to be disbursed among 205,500 students as loans and scholarships under the Higher Education Students Loans Board (HESLB).

President Samia Suluhu’s government, to enhance imperativeness and the importance of science and technology to the country’s development, the government has allocated Tsh. 3bn/- for the scholarship of 500 students who have performed better in their form six national exams.

The government shall particularly sponsor those who will be pursuing engineering, science and medical studies.
