Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Hon. Amos Makalla said that his office obtains vital information about the people responsible for burning down the Karume Market.

Mr. Makalla made those remarks while presenting the committee’s report formed to probe the cause of the fire on 16 January 2022.

RC Makalla said the fire that razed the Karume Market was caused by a candle started by the drug users, and he said that he firmly believes the Police will respond accordingly to catch all those responsible as the office has their names.
