5 killed in South Sudan plane crash

 

A cargo plane carrying fuel for the UN World Food Programme (WFP) to Maban County crashed minutes after take-off from Juba International Airport.

The plane had 28 barrels of fuel to Maban were WFP houses over 100, 000 refugees

According to the Airport Director, Kur Kuol the plane hit a mango tree and caught fire and killed everyone onboard.

The crew included one South Sudanese, two Ukrainians and two Sudanese. South Sudan Head of Civil Aviation Authority, David Subek told AFP.

The Red Cross, South Sudan collected the bodies which were burned beyond measure.
