A total of 53,600 Tanzanians expected to be employed by the new 329 registered investment projects by both local and foreign investors.
Dr. Mwigulu, Finance and Planning Minister, unveiled this information before in the national assembly when presenting the National Development Plan for 2023/24 and guidelines for the proposed revenue and expenditure for the next financial year.
According to the minister, there’s a significant increase in public private partnership, whereas a total 329 projects including 127 by foreigners, 111 by local Tanzanians and 91 by partnership between Tanzania and foreigners valued $4.51 billion have been registered.
Dr Mwigulu said the government eagers to involve private sectors on economic activities in projects and services provision through the government budget.
Dr Mwigulu further added that the government will continue increasing the participation of the private sector in business and investment while remaining resilient against external shocks caused by the slowing down of global economic growth.
