Iran Estimates War Damage at $270 Billion Amid Ongoing Tensions

Iran has put the estimated cost of damages from the recent conflict involving the United States and Israel at around $270 billion, according to a government spokesperson. The figure, officials say, is still preliminary and subject to further detailed assessment.

Authorities explained that the evaluation will be carried out in stages, starting with the physical destruction of buildings and infrastructure, followed by broader economic impacts such as lost government revenue and disruptions to industries.

The issue of compensation has also emerged as a key point in ongoing diplomatic discussions, with Iran indicating that war reparations are being pursued as part of negotiations. However, officials emphasized that calculating the full extent of the damage is complex and requires a multi-layered analysis.

The conflict, which began with joint strikes by the US and Israel, has caused widespread destruction and economic disruption, with the financial toll continuing to rise as assessments progress.
