The Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL) has launched a new fibre experience centre in Dar es Salaam, aimed at promoting the use of high-speed internet and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.

Located in Kijitonyama, the facility allows users to experience how fibre internet works in real-life settings. Visitors can see how fast and reliable connectivity supports activities such as streaming, remote work, online gaming, and smart home technology.

The centre is designed to demonstrate how fibre broadband can connect multiple devices seamlessly, enabling efficient digital operations for both households and businesses. It also highlights how improved internet access can enhance productivity and everyday living.

TTCL officials say the initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve service delivery, expand digital infrastructure, and increase adoption of modern communication technologies across the country.

By giving people hands-on access to advanced internet services, the centre is expected to raise awareness and drive wider use of fibre connectivity, supporting Tanzania’s transition into a more digitally connected economy.
