On behalf of Tanzania, the minister of finance and planning, Dr Mwigulu Nchemba, has thanked the OPEC Fund for International Development for investing $218 million (Tsh 504) into different development projects.

Dr Mwigulu Nchemba met with OPEC representative in Dodoma yesterday, March 29, 2022, Dr Alkhalifa Abdulhamid and agreed on further cooperation between Tanzania and The OPEC Fund for International Development.

Dr Mwigulu said the fund invested in Tanzania were directed into the Same-Mwanga-Korogwe water project, Kazilambwa – Chagu road, Uvinza – Ilunde road and the project for poverty alleviation through Tanzania social action fund.
