Police in Morogoro Region are holding Hussein Idd, 37, a security guard and resident of Kayenzi in Morogoro Municipality, on allegations of fatally shooting Feisal Yaqoob, 43, a Scania truck driver from Mbagala, Dar es Salaam.

According to police, the incident occurred at around midnight today at a fuel station in the Viwandani area of Kihonda Ward, Morogoro Municipality.

Police said the deceased was traveling from Dar es Salaam to Mwanza and had parked his truck at the station before going to pray at a nearby mosque.

After returning from prayers, the suspect allegedly demanded TZS 15,000 as a parking security fee. The driver reportedly refused to pay and began driving away, prompting the guard to shoot him in the head, killing him instantly.
