President Samia Suluhu Hassan has expressed her sincere gratitude to Heads of State and Government, national leaders, diplomats and the international community, religious leaders, and all Tanzanians for their messages of condolence, prayers and comfort throughout the period of mourning, as the three-day mourning period following the death of her husband, the late Maalim Hafidh Ameir Hassan, comes to an end.

The late Hafidh passed away on September 7, 2025, at Mzena Hospital in Zanzibar, where he was receiving treatment for a heart condition.
