Yesterday March March 15, 2022, the government, through the ministry of foreign affairs, stated that all Tanzanians who were stranded in the war-torn areas in Ukraine have safely reached the neighbouring countries, with some hoping to arrive home anytime soon.

“I can confirm that no Tanzanians are remaining in Ukraine. We have managed to take them to neighbouring countries, but many have also returned home, ” said the minister of foreign affairs, Amb. Liberata Mulamuala

Moreover, the minister said the government is creating an integrated system that would ease identifying Tanzanians living abroad to create a feasible environment for rescue whenever such incidences occur. The minister has urged Tanzania to register whenever travelling abroad.
